SurfaceJet offers training certification on Waterjet systems. Clean water and a knowledgeable crew will maximize equipment uptime and is critical to production and lower parts consumption.
On projects where we have trained the operators and service technicians, there has been more successful communication and quicker solutions when issues arose in the field. These projects can get very expensive when people start changing parts instead of correctly diagnosing the problem with the equipment. At the end of the day, we are both working for the owner/operator where the equipment is being used. The common objectives are lower parts consumption and predictable uptime. The training objectives are as follows:
Class is 12 hours (1 ½ days) and attendees must pass both a written and practical exam with a minimum score of 70% to be issued a training certificate. This course covers system components, safety issues, PPE, operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the JetLance. Trainees will know what components wear the fastest, troubleshooting, parts replacement, preventative maintenance, pressure and flow rate calculations, thrust, and associated risks.
